Henry John McHarron was born on 28th May 1945 in Liverpool. He was the middle child of Annie and Harry having an older brother, Billy and a younger sister, Rose.
He lived most of his life in and around Liverpool. He lived in Southdene, Kirkby from 1972 to the present. He married Chrissie in 1965 and had 3 children; Neil, Lynne & Claire.
He had many jobs throughout his life but most of his working life was spent as a driver.
Henry died on Monday 23rd April 2007 in the critical care unit of Fazakerly Hospital. On Saturday 21st April he had been delivering newspapers to Stopgate convenience store on Stopgate Lane. He was in the back of the delivery van when a thief jumped into the cab and sped off. Henry fell from the van, hitting his head on the pavement. He suffered horrific head injuries and later died.
Henry was my dad. He was a kind, funny and helpful person always willing to do a favour. He loved people and animals and was well liked by all who knew him. I find it hard to comprehend the fact that he has been taken away from me - from all of us.
You only get one dad and now mine has gone. He meant the world to me and I will never forget all the things he has done for me.
